TONZU Tofu - Cubed Fried

One of the simplest ways to enjoy TONZU Tofu, and one of our favourites – TONZU Tofu cubed and pan fried. Tamari and garlic give a unique light flavour to this crispy dish. Great as a snack or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 275g TONZU Tofu
  • 100 mls Tamari
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 25mls cider vinegar
  • 100 gms wholemeal flour and 50 gms of savory yeast (optional)

Method

  • Mix Tamari, garlic and cider vinegar to create a marinade.
  • Cube the tofu and leave to marinate for 15 mins turning every 3 or so minutes to coat each side.
  • Mix flour and savory yeast together and roll tofu cubes into flour mixture and fry in hot oil turning every 2 minutes until crispy on all sides.

How to Serve

  • On a bed of rice with vegetables of your choice.
  • Use any leftover marinade as sauce or save for next time!
