Quick 'n' Tasty Pan-Fried TONZU Tofu

This is another simple and easy way to enjoy TONZU Tofu – Cook on medium heat, only for a couple of minutes either side for tender tofu or a bit longer for a nice crispy texture. Great even on the barbe when there are a few mouths to feed!

Ingredients

Method

  • Slice tofu into 1 cm thick slices.
  • Place in medium hot pan with a little oil.
  • Immediately sprinkle with tamari.
  • Cook for 2 mins then turn.
  • Immediately sprinkle other side with tamari also.
  • Use as much or as little tamari as desired.
  • Cook longer for firmer slices or briefly for soft delicate slices.

How to Serve

  • With rice and vegetables, tossed in your favourite salad, or just eat on its own. This is also quite nice in a burger with salad and sauce of your choice (peanut, mayo etc.)
