TONZU Bangers and Mash

There’s nothing like the simplicity and hearty flavours of bangers & mash. Try our TONZU version with organic vegetarian sausages - A tasty take on an age-old dish. Quick and easy, and ideal for making in large quantities when you have multitudes to feed!



  • 1 packet of TONZU Organic Vegetarian Sausages
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon of Tamari
  • 3-4 medium sized potatoes
  • oil for frying
  • salt and pepper


  • Chop onions finely and fry gently (sweat) in oil in a pan.
  • Once the onions are slightly cooked, add in the sausages and cook together until sausages are nicely browned (TONZU sausages are pre-cooked, so cook them for as little or as long as you prefer). Remove from heat.
  • In a small cup, slowly add the cold water to the flour, stirring continuously until you have a nice smooth paste.
  • Add the flour paste and tamari to the hot sausages and onions and stir in to create a nice thick “sausages and gravy”.
  • Put back on the heat if necessary to thicken sauce and keep everything nice and hot.

How to Serve

  • Serve piping hot on a bed of mashed potatoes with vegetables of your choice.
